Hi I'm Haley McRay I teach fourth grade at Owasso Public Schools I've been here for five years so this is my seventh year teaching My favorite thing about teaching is kinda that lightbulb moment for the kids when they start to believe in themselves especially their facial expression when they like their I can't becomes I can and I love it when they kind of realize like this isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be in that kind of mental block evaporates and they're able to be successful I also just love making it fun I like to bring the joy into it get them up moving just have a good time and build those relationships with each other and with me and make learning a fun experience instead of just something I have to do Miss McCray is a bundle of energy we love having her at Mills Elementary she is not only an incredible leader for our teachers and our staff here in the building but just an incredible educator she's very strong with curriculum instruction and she builds incredible relationships with students she always has a smile to share always has a kind word to share always has a kind word to share with others I'm proud of of seeing her leadership grow through her years here at Mills she currently is our fourth grade team lead and serves as our spark site director so that's an incredible responsibility that she has I will say that Haley is great under pressure and quick with making good decisions and we just love having her here. Being a teacher at Owasso Public Schools has been kind of like finding your home Mills is just a special place to work The friends here are more than just colleagues their lifelong friends and the support that you see that's on a professional level but also on a personal level in the way we all come together has been just really fulfilling and honestly it's been what makes being a part of Owasso so honorable and sure what makes it so special is knowing the people that I do work with and how awesome they are and how qualified they are to be able to be nominated by them is what makes Owasso special. I'm Haley McRay and I am and an Owasso Ram!
